Joel S. Isenberg

Since graduating with honors from the Cumberland School of Law in 1994, Joel has represented individuals and businesses in a wide variety of litigation matters, including insurance coverage disputes and complex declaratory judgment actions; corporate and shareholder disputes; labor, employment, and discrimination cases; commercial litigation; and construction defect and construction injury cases. In addition to representing clients in the litigation context, Joel provides counseling, opinions, and advice prior to litigation, including detailed analyses of insurance coverage, in order to meet the client’s needs to either avoid litigation entirely or to best position the client in the event litigation is filed. Joel is proud to represent clients before the trial and appellate courts in the State of Alabama; the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama; and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Joel has also recently expanded his practice to the representation of clients in both Georgia and Tennessee.

Joel is a member of the American Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Georgia State Bar, the Tennessee State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
